Robyn and I spent her spring break in Hilton Head with Mom & Dad at their new home.
A view of the house from the second fairway Dad enjoying a drink on the back porch Hey, look what I caught in the back yard! I think it's a swimmin' gopher! Another resident of the back yard Another picture of the 'gator. I'm just a log, Ma'am 'Gator in the sky. You may notice that I took a lot of pictures of the alligator. Hey, I grew up way north of here, plus I'm a bit of a nature nerd. Cut me some slack. Robyn trying to get some studying done on the beach. #@*&! spring break crowds. A bluebird - one of dozens of bird species that seem to congregate here Here I am attempting a fairway shot on the seventh hole. To give you some perspective on what an abysmal golfer I am, this is probably my third stroke. To elaborate further, I am probably only fifty yards from the tee here. Note the alligator basking in the back yard behind me. He's probably mocking me. Damn alligator. Taking an evening walk around the course. I wish I had focused this shot better. Oh well. A sunset from the back yard We rented kayaks and explored a big tidal marsh on the west side of the island. Notice Robyn's color-coordinated life vest/kayak/paddle ensemble. Tres chic. These things aren't as maneuverable as they look, especially in narrow, twisty channels. Luckily, the tide rose fast and this was all flat water on the way home.
