A night flight up the Hudson, 1/10/03 (Yes, the photos are somewhat impressionistic, but you can't really use a flash at 3000 feet.
The southern tip of Manhattan - Battery Park in the foreground, Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges at the upper right, the bright lights of Ground Zero at far left Ground Zero, withthe World Financial Center in the foreground Statue of Liberty

A flight out to Easthampton, 2/14/03
It looks official, doesn't it? From up here, those Easthampton houses don't look all that big... Peekskill, NY and the Hudson River. Indian Point Nuclear Power Station is on the left, Bear Mountain Bridge on the right Flying over the western portion of the Tappan Zee bridge at rush hour. Makes me wonder how long this same trip would have taken by car. Mark at the controls as we cruise past midtown Ground Zero and the World Financial Center, this time by daylight Ellis Island Liberty Island A grainy, foreshortened, and otherwise unflattering view of where we live - I've circled our building for reference
